Karin van Elburg

Karin van Elburg is an experienced professional in quality control microbiology and pharmacology, currently serving as the Director of Quality Control Microbiology & Pharmacology at Organon since June 2021, overseeing a laboratory team of 9 direct reports and approximately 60 analysts. Previously, Karin held similar roles at MSD Nederland from September 2012 to June 2021, including Director and Associate Director, managing labs and teams within the quality control domain. Prior experience includes a position as a Qualified Person at TEVA Pharmachemie and significant academic research in synthetic biology during a PhD at the University of Sheffield. Karin's educational background includes degrees in Pharmacy and Chemical Engineering from the University of Groningen and the University of Sheffield, respectively.
