Payton Olson has a diverse work experience in the research field. They began their career in 2018 as a Math/Science Teacher Initiative at SDSU College of Education, tutoring high school students in various biology classes. In 2019, they became a Research Assistant at SDSU Research Foundation, conducting research on student learning methods. In 2020, Payton joined the University of Southern California as a Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine researcher and Graduate Student. They also volunteered at the Keck School of Medicine, running a project on Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia. Payton then worked at HD Biosciences Co., Ltd as a Research Associate II before moving to Viscient Bio Inc in 2022, where they held roles as a Research Associate II and III. They most recently joined Organovo Holdings, Inc as a Research Associate III in 2023.
Payton Olson completed a Bachelor's degree in Biology and Psychology from San Diego State University, from the years 2016 to 2020. Following this, from 2020 to 2021, Payton pursued a Master of Science degree in Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine from the University of Southern California.
