Matthew Hewitt

Matthew Hewitt possesses extensive experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors. Currently serving as Vice President and CTO of the Manufacturing Business Division at Charles River Laboratories, Matthew has held several key positions including Executive Director and Senior Director of Scientific Solutions in Cell & Gene Therapy. Additionally, Matthew is a Strategic Advisory Board Member at Ori Biotech and a member of the Board of Trustees at the Coriell Institute for Medical Research. Past roles include Director and Head of Clinical Development for Personalized Medicine at Lonza, as well as Principal Scientist/Director of Tumor Immunology & Microenvironment at Bellicum Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Matthew holds a PhD in Physiology/Immunology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and completed a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Neural Control of Airway Diseases at The Johns Hopkins University.
