Adam Mooney

Adam Mooney is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in the fields of technology, engineering, and business development. Currently serving as the VP of Research & Innovation at Orica since June 2016, Adam focuses on launching sustainable technologies for mineral resource mobilization, utilizing autonomous systems and artificial intelligence. Adam's previous roles at Orica include VP of Technology and VP of Technology, Analytics & Automation, where responsibilities included overseeing the Technology Roadmap and initiating digital transformation. Prior to Orica, Adam spent two decades at Schlumberger, holding various leadership positions, including VP Marketing & Technology, Global Business Development Manager, and Director of Engineering, where notable achievements included driving a $4B revenue target and developing new business growth strategies. Adam holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Monash University and multiple executive certifications from prestigious institutions such as INSEAD, Stanford, Caltech, MIT Sloan, and Texas McCombs School of Business.
