Bertus de Villiers

Bertus De Villiers is a seasoned professional in the metals and manufacturing industries, currently serving as Vice President of Continuous Manufacturing at Orica since December 2017, where additional roles include General Manager of the Manufacturing Centre and General Manager of KI Operations. Prior experience includes holding the position of Vice President of Metals Refining at Nyrstar from January 2014 to November 2017 and leading Smelting Operations for Platinum at Anglo American from 2007 to December 2013. Bertus De Villiers began his career as Plant Manager at Samancor Chrome from 1995 to 2002. Academic qualifications include a Master’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Pretoria and a Master of Business Leadership from the University of South Africa. Additionally, Bertus De Villiers holds a Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy with Honors and a Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy from the University of Pretoria, along with a GAICD qualification from the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
