Johann Zank

Johann Zank is a Senior Manager at Orica, overseeing a multidisciplinary team focused on developing innovative products and services within the mining and explosives industry since September 2006. Key responsibilities include leading the Research & Innovation and Automation Strategies, managing a high-priority research project portfolio, making technological contributions to both internal groups and external customers, and preparing and managing group budgets. Prior experience includes various leadership roles in the Strategic Marketing & Technology Group at Orica, a Research Fellow position at The Australian National University, and a Chief Scientist role at Sustainable Technologies International, where Johann set up the world's first manufacturing facility for photoelectrochemical solar cells. Johann Zank holds a PhD in Chemistry from the Technical University of Munich, awarded between 1996 and 1998.
