Michael MacKay

Michael Mackay is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in maintenance and operations management within the engineering and manufacturing sectors. Currently serving as a Senior Manager Maintenance and Operation Specialist at Orica since September 1995, Michael has played a pivotal role in aligning maintenance strategies with Orica's Manufacturing Strategy, particularly at the Yarwun site. Previous positions at Orica include Global Maintenance Manager, Manager Reliability and Maintenance, and Global Machines Manager, where responsibilities encompassed enhancing reliability and overseeing machine inspections and overhauls. Michael's career began at Gladstone Power Station and Callide Power Station, where foundational skills in mechanical engineering were developed. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, a Graduate Diploma in Maintenance Management, and an Associate Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, all from Central Queensland University.
