Steve Humphrey

Steve Humphrey has extensive experience in global category management, primarily in the fields of equipment and services, with a career spanning over 40 years. Currently serving as the Global Category Manager for Category Management & Strategy at Orica since March 2017, Steve is responsible for managing global strategies for fixed and mobile equipment and technical services across diverse markets. Prior to Orica, Steve held various senior roles at BHP Billiton from February 1986 to November 2012, overseeing operational infrastructure, support services, and fleet management on a global scale. Steve's early career included service as a Transportation Operator Specialist in the Royal Australian Corps of Transport, where expertise in heavy road haulage was developed. Educational qualifications include a Diploma of Business and an Advanced Certificate in Management from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University, along with military leadership and specialized vehicle operation training from the Australian Defence Department.
