Muhammad Ishaq is an experienced Senior Instrument Technician with a robust career spanning over two decades in the instrumentation field. Currently at ORIENT PETROLEUM INC. since August 2005 and concurrently working with BHP Billiton since January 2005, Muhammad has honed expertise in technical instrumentation. Prior roles include positions at Engro Corp as an Instrument Technician from July 2003 to December 2004 and at FFBL from December 1999 to July 2003. Muhammad's educational background includes a graduation degree in Anthropology from Allama Iqbal Open University and a DAE in Electronics from the Swedish Pakistani Institute of Technology Gujrat. Early education was completed at Govt. Higher Secondary School Dhok Kasib.

Orient Petroleum Inc. (OPI) has a vision to expand its oil & gas upstream activities worldwide through initiative and innovation and to provide sustainable solution to Pakistan's energy requirements. OPI is the successor to Ocean Pakistan Limited, (a Company incorporated in the Cayman islands), by means of amalgamation/merger with it’s wholly owned subsidiary namely OPI, which began oil/gas exploration in Pakistan in 1979. Within 5 years of commencing E&P activities, OPI made Pakistan's largest oil discovery at the Dhurnal field in the Punjab Province of Pakistan. After acquisition by the Hashoo Group in 1995, OPI continued to operate its producing assets and over the years has grown considerably through an extensive exploration program. Acquisition of new assets, divestment, mergers, and alliances/partnerships with other local and international companies in Pakistan is the growth strategy of OPI. OPI, as Operator, has, to its credit eleven (11) exploration discoveries in the southern region and three (3) discoveries with in the northern region of Pakistan. OPI Technical and Asset management teams take pride in opening new geological plays and in commercializing new discoveries in record short time. OPI continues to explore extensively for oil & gas and is presently operating three Exploration Licenses namely Sakhi Sarwar Block located in Punjab, Marwat Block in Khyber Pakhtoonkhawa and Harnai South Block located in Baluchistan Province. Besides OPI has operatorship and equity production from three oil and gas fields in the Punjab Province namely Dhurnal, Bhangali and Ratana. OPI is also a Joint Venture Partner with OGDCL and OMV in the non-operated Sinjhoro and Mehar Blocks.
