David Luong, SPHR

David Luong, SPHR, has over 20 years of experience in Human Resources. David began their career in 2001 as Senior Staff Manager for the Australian Department of Immigration and Border Protection. In 2011, they joined Vesta, Inc. as a Human Resources Generalist and later as Manager of Human Resources. In 2016, they became the Director of Human Resources at EPIC-SMVI, where they were responsible for leading strategic HR business functions and operations for the organization. In 2019, they took on the role of Corporate Director of Human Resources at ASSOCIATES IN EYECARE - OPTOMETRISTS, providing strategic HR support to Executives and having HR responsibility in areas of Talent Acquisition and Talent Management. Most recently, in 2021, they became the Head of Human Resources at OriGene Technologies, Inc.

David Luong, SPHR completed a Bachelor's degree in Economic History from UNSW. David then went on to obtain a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Organizational Leadership from Walden University from 2019 to 2023. David also studied Immigration Law at Victoria University and Multi-/Interdisciplinary Studies, General at Deakin University. Additionally, they obtained a National Authority for Translators and Interpreters certification from NAATI in July 1998 and a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR®) Certification from HR Certification Institute - HRCI in November 2015.
