Julian Heller has had a diverse work experience since 2018. In 2017, they were a Summer Research Intern at The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine, where their duties included maintaining in-vitro mouse cell cultures and performing Western Blots on cell extracts. In 2018, they returned to the Foundation for another Summer Research Internship, where they assisted in experimentation and gained experience with new lab techniques. In 2019, Julian was a Student Researcher at St. Mary's College of Maryland, where they conducted a year-long laboratory based study focused on the effects of Cadmium exposure on the expression levels of DNA mismatch repair proteins. In 2020, they were a Research Associate at Aerotek, where their duties included performing experiments following protocols for cell culture, transfections, virus concentrations, and ELISA's in a BSL-2 setting. Finally, in 2021, Julian joined Origene Technologies full-time as a Research Associate II, where their duties included performing experiments, keeping accurate laboratory records and data, and maintaining lab stocks, solutions, reagents, and supplies.
Julian Heller attended St. Mary's College of Maryland from 2016 to 2020, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry.
