Ahmad Taufiq Abdullah Thani is a Principal Controls and Cyber Security Engineer at Origin Energy, with extensive experience in digital transformation, IIoT concepts, and control systems. Since joining Origin Energy in 2013, Ahmad has served in various roles, providing technical advisory and engineering support while facilitating Management of Change processes and CHAZOPs. As a Subject Matter Expert, expertise includes interfacing protocols, cyber security, and operational technology networks. Prior experience spans roles at Siemens Ltd., pentec controls, and Tyco, coupled with significant educational qualifications including a PhD in progress and multiple degrees in engineering, cyber security, and leadership. Current involvement includes participation in CIGRE Australia as part of the D2 Panel on Telecommunication & Information Systems.
