Andrew Strain

Andrew Strain is an experienced health and safety professional with a diverse background spanning over 18 years. Currently serving as a Senior Health and Safety Advisor at Origin Energy since October 2022, Andrew previously held the role of Health Safety Environment Advisor. Andrew is also the owner of Andrew's Fire and Safety, providing safety consulting and emergency response management services. Prior experience includes positions as Site Safety Manager at both the Department of Natural Resources and Mines (Queensland) and Enviropacific Services, Health Safety and Environment Adviser at Ensign Energy Services, and various safety roles within Queensland Fire and Emergency Services, where Andrew progressed from Lieutenant to crew leader. Andrew’s qualifications include a Diploma of Work Health and Safety from Asset College and a Diploma in Quality Auditing from Audit Services International.
