Julia MacDonald

Julia Macdonald is a seasoned corporate lawyer with extensive experience in the energy sector. Currently serving as Senior Corporate Lawyer and Deputy Company Secretary at Origin Energy since August 2019, Julia specializes in mergers, acquisitions, commercial contracts, project development, and corporate governance. Previous roles include Senior Corporate Lawyer at AGL Energy from June 2009 to July 2019, and various associate positions at prestigious law firms such as White & Case and Herbert Smith Freehills. Julia holds a Bachelor of Laws from The University of Queensland and an Advanced Diploma in Management from the Australian Institute of Management, among other qualifications. Additionally, Julia is currently pursuing a Graduate Diploma of Applied Corporate Governance & Risk Management at the Governance Institute of Australia.
