Joseph Gwin

Joseph Gwin has extensive work experience spanning from 2004 to 2023.

Joseph currently serves as the Chief Innovation Officer at Origin AI since April 2023.

From 2019 to 2023, they worked at Best Buy Health in various roles. As the Head of Product R&D, they formed a new technology innovation and delivery team and was responsible for developing devices and digital experiences for Lively customers. Joseph also led the Boston Health Technology Center, focusing on incubating new ideas and launching innovative technology-enabled solutions. Additionally, they served as the Head of Data Science, overseeing AI/ML engineering at Best Buy Health.

Previously, from 2012 to 2019, they were the Vice President of Product Development at BioSensics. Joseph oversaw product development and management, led the commercial launch of several products, and developed an FDA compliant QMS.

Before that, they worked as a Consulting Editor at American Journal Experts from 2009 to 2012.

Joseph began their career as a Graduate Research Fellow at the University of Michigan from 2008 to 2012.

Joseph also gained experience as a Research Engineer at Simbex from 2004 to 2008, where they supported the development of a head impact monitoring device and conducted research on concussion risk assessment.

Joseph Gwin has a bachelor's and master's degree in Engineering Sciences and Biomechanics, respectively, from Dartmouth College and Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth. Joseph also holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and Kinesiology, as well as a master's degree in Kinesiology, both from the University of Michigan.
