Szymon Duniec

Szymon Duniec's work experience started in 1987 as a Clerical Officer in the National Drug Abuse Information Centre. Szymon then worked as an Industry Analyst in the Information Industries Branch of the Australian Government Department of Industry, Technology and Commerce from 1989 to 1990. From 1990 to 1998, Szymon held various positions within the Australian Government Department of the Treasury, including roles as an Economic Analyst, Assistant Director, Director, and Senior Economic Analyst. Following this, they served as a Senior Adviser in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet from 1998 to 2000. In 2000, Szymon became the Managing Director and co-owner of ORIMA Research, Australia's leading public sector specialist in social research and data analytics. Alongside this role, they were also involved in various industry associations, including serving as the President of the Australian Market and Social Research Society from 2012 to 2014 and a Council Member of the Research Industry Council of Australia from 2011 to 2014. Additionally, they were a Member of the Privacy Compliance Committee at the Australian Data and Insights Association from 2014 to 2022.

Szymon Duniec completed their education at The Australian National University from 1987 to 1990, obtaining a Bachelor of Economics (First Class Honours) degree with a focus on Economics and Law. Prior to that, they obtained their Year 12 Certificate from Daramalan College from 1981 to 1986.
