Ken O'Brien has extensive experience in the financial services industry, currently serving as Managing Partner at Orin Capital, LLC since 2011. Prior to this role, Ken held significant positions including Managing Director and Global Head of Credit Trading at HSBC from 2004 to 2010, CEO of Workforce Logistics Inc. from 2000 to 2003, and Senior Managing Director at Bear Stearns Companies from 1996 to 1999. Additionally, Ken served as Vice President at Bankers Trust (now part of Deutsche Bank) from 1991 to 1996. Ken holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Toronto and a BSc.Hons. in Computing Science from Queen's University, attained between 1981 and 1985.

Orin Capital operates a fully automated algorithmic trading platform. We utilize a systematic pattern recognition strategy to identify short-term trading opportunities in 26 highly- liquid global futures markets across four asset classes: equity indices, currencies, bonds and commodities. The observed patterns are modeled in terms of over 200 proprietary market-related variables. Management Team: Ken O’Brien, Mr. O’Brien has over 25 years of trading experience, having held senior trading and trading management positions at Bankers Trust, Bear Stearns and HSBC. His responsibilities have included cash and derivative products across interest rates, equities, credit and currencies in both developed and emerging markets. During his career he has lived and worked in New York, Tokyo, Hong Kong and London. Prior to Orin Capital, he ran the global credit trading business for HSBC, based in London. Mr. O’Brien holds an undergraduate degree in Computing Science from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario and an MBA from University of Toronto. Zbigniew Ryzak, Mr. Ryzak has over 25 years of trading experience in fixed income products. Most recently, he ran Diamond Notch Asset Management, a New York-based fund with over $400 million under management. Prior to that, he was head of rates products at BNP Paribas in New York, where his direct responsibilities included overseeing trading and risk management of interest rate derivatives and exotics, US Treasuries and Agencies, local market instruments in all of Americas, RMBS and whole loans, municipal products, inflation products and repo (1996-2007). Mr. Ryzak holds a PhD degree in theoretical particle physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
