Aaron Chai

Aaron Chai's work experience starts in 2003 when they worked as a Support Analyst at Information Technology Systems and Services - The University of Auckland. In this role, they provided Level 1 and Level 2 support to students and staff using the online student administration and enrolment system. Aaron also wrote queries and provided reports on admission and enrolment information.

In 2004, Aaron joined Orion Health as a Software Engineer. Their responsibilities included developing, testing, and maintaining Orion Health's products. Aaron also released software to the Quality Assurance teams and maintained nightly software build processes.

From 2006 to 2008, they continued to work as a Software Engineer at Orion Health, but their role shifted to the Package, Integration, and Testing team. In addition to their previous responsibilities, they built custom solutions for clients, built solution components for use in Orion products, and managed in-house virtual environments for testing purposes.

In 2008, Aaron transitioned to the role of Implementation Consultant at Orion Health in the EMEA region. Here, they designed, configured, tested, and documented applications based on project requirements. This involved front-end design, database design, and configuration of hardware and applications.

Finally, in 2012, Aaron became a Solution Architect at Orion Health in the EMEA region. Aaron led the technical team from design to delivery and support across various projects. Aaron produced innovative designs for new and existing solutions.

No end dates were provided for their roles at Orion Health or Information Technology Systems and Services - The University of Auckland, so it is assumed that they are still currently employed by Orion Health.

Aaron Chai's education history begins in 1998 when they enrolled at The University of Auckland. Aaron pursued a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree, specializing in Information Systems and Computer Science. Aaron completed this program in 2001. In 2002, Aaron returned to The University of Auckland to pursue an Honours degree in Information Systems, which they completed that same year.

In addition to their formal education, Aaron has obtained several certifications. These include the Sun Certified Java Programmer (SCJP) certification from Sun Microsystems, which they acquired in October 2006. In October 2007, Aaron obtained the Sun Certified Web Component Developer for Java 2EE (SCWCD) certification, also from Sun Microsystems.

Aaron has also obtained multiple certifications from Amazon Web Services (AWS). In November 2020, they became an AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate. In March 2021, they obtained the AWS Certified Developer - Associate certification, followed by the AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate certification in May 2021. In May 2021, they also earned the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification. Continuing their AWS certifications, Aaron obtained the AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional certification in February 2022 and the AWS Certified Security - Specialty certification in March 2022. Most recently, in March 2023, Aaron acquired the AWS Certified Database - Specialty certification and the AWS Certified Alexa Skill Builder - Specialty certification.

These certifications indicate Aaron's dedication to continually enhancing their knowledge and expertise in the fields of information systems, computer science, and cloud computing.
