David Nishida

David Nishida is Chief Operating Officer and Interim Chief Financial Officer for ORIX Corporation USA (ORIX USA). He is head of the company’s corporate operations center in Dallas, Texas and is responsible for leading multiple ORIX USA group-wide functions, including enterprise resource planning, information technology and security, operations, cost management, facilities management, and business continuity. Mr. Nishida is a member of the executive committee, management committee, and enterprise risk committee of ORIX USA.

Mr. Nishida brings to ORIX USA more than 35 years of private equity, accounting, and finance experience in the U.S. and Japan. Prior to joining ORIX USA, Mr. Nishida served as Representative Director, President, and Chief Financial Officer of Hudson Japan KK (captive asset manager for Lone Star Funds, Dallas), and before this position, he was Chief Financial Officer of Morgan Stanley Properties Japan KK. More recently, he served as an independent advisor to Softbank Corp. of Japan, as well as active involvement on several private company and not-for-profit boards. Mr. Nishida began his career in public accounting specializing in the real estate industry.

Mr. Nishida earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles.
