Kristopher Leask

Kristopher Leask is a Scottish Greens Councillor for Kirkwall West and Orphir, serving on Orkney Islands Council since May 2022 and chairing the Development and Infrastructure Committee. In addition to current council responsibilities, Kristopher was recently employed as a Policy Manager at Community Energy Scotland, focusing on lobbying and advocating for community energy and decarbonization. Previous experience includes working as a Parliamentary Campaigns Assistant at The Scottish Parliament, supporting MSP Ariane Burgess, and as a Commercial Intern at the European Marine Energy Centre. Kristopher also engaged in research related to climate justice as part of the Third Generation Project and held various roles in the hospitality industry. Academic qualifications include an MSc in Renewable Energy Development from Heriot-Watt University and an MA(Hons) in International Relations from the University of St Andrews.
