Sweyn Johnston

Sweyn Johnston is an experienced professional in the energy sector, currently serving as Head of Enterprise and Economic Growth and Strategic Projects Director for Orkney Islands Council since December 2016, where leadership involves the development and implementation of innovative energy projects. Prior experience includes a role as Director at Greenvoe from January 2012 to February 2022, providing advisory services to various stakeholders in the energy industry and acting as Special Adviser to Kawasaki Heavy Industries. Sweyn also worked as a Consultant at Aquatera, focusing on marine energy consultancy, and taught English while studying Japanese in Kohgakusha.
