Orlando Family Stage
Blake Billington is an experienced lighting technician currently serving as a Project Lighting Technician at Universal Orlando Resort since June 2018, where responsibilities include leading and assisting with the installation and maintenance of lighting equipment for various events. Notable projects include Rock the Universe and Halloween Horror Nights. In addition, Blake has worked as an Overhire Lighting Technician for Orlando Repertory Theatre, assisting with the setup and strike of lighting instruments on a contract basis. Previous experience includes operational coordination for Knights on the Mall at the University of Central Florida, and roles at Orlando Fringe and Venice Performing Arts Center, covering various technical aspects of theatre production. Blake holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Studies with a focus on Theatre Design and Technology from the University of Central Florida.

The award-winningYouth Academy provides classes and workshops for children, along with professional development opportunities for classroom teachers. Housed in a three-theatre complex in Loch Haven Park, Orlando Family Stage is also home to the University of Central Florida’s MFA in Theatre for Young Audiences graduate program, training the next generation of theatre for young audiences leaders - the only program of its kind in the Southeast.
