Cortez Whatley

Cortez Whatley serves as the Manager of Local Government Affairs & Public Policy at Orlando Health, a position held since November 2021. Prior to this role, Cortez was the Chief of Staff/Senior Aide to Orange County Commissioner Mayra Uribe from December 2018 to November 2021. Cortez has also worked as an Associate Attorney at Cole, Scott & Kissane, P.A., and completed a legal internship at ArchCity Defenders. Earlier experience includes serving as a Summer Associate at BakerHostetler LLP and holding leadership positions at the University of Central Florida as Student Body President and SGA Attorney General. Cortez holds a Public Leadership Credential from Harvard Kennedy School, a Juris Doctor from Washington University in St. Louis, and dual degrees in Legal Studies and Public Administration from the University of Central Florida.
