Karen Frenier oversees all aspects of human resource operations for Orlando Health. These areas include team member recruitment, compensation and benefits, education and training, organizational development, HR information systems, team member relations and team member engagement. She also oversees corporate nursing and patient-care services.
Karen was appointed vice president/chief human resources officer in February 2018 after serving in that position in an interim role since mid-2017. Previously, she served six years as president of South Seminole Hospital after serving as president of Dr. P. Phillips Hospital and vice president of operations at Orlando Regional Medical Center.
Karen earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Florida Southern University and an MBA from the University of Phoenix. She is currently a member of the Seminole State College Foundation board. She has served as the American Lung Association Asthma Walk chairperson for Orlando Health and as chairperson for ORMC’s annual Heart Walk campaign.
Karen has received numerous distinctions throughout her career, and in 2015 was named Business Executive of the Year Honoree by the Orlando Business Journal.
