Marlei Martinez

Marlei Martinez serves as the Media Relations & Public Affairs Manager for Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center, leveraging expertise in crisis communication within the healthcare sector. Prior to this role, Marlei was the Investigative Reporter and Fill-in Anchor at WESH 2 CW18, where notable achievements included an Emmy nomination in 2023 for reporting, and coordinating multimedia content across platforms. Previous positions include Reporter at KCRA 3, recognized with an Emmy Award for "Breaking News," and a similar role at WVTM-TV, where Marlei earned an Emmy for reporting on gun violence. Marlei's extensive experience in broadcast journalism includes managing teams at CNN's "New Day" and contributing to award-winning productions at Good Morning America and ABC NEWS-20/20. Marlei holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcast Journalism from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.
