John Kerr

John Kerr serves as the System Operator Training Coordinator at Orlando Utilities Commission since January 2008, focusing on the development and maintenance of training programs for system operators. This role ensures adherence to North American Electric Reliability Corporation standards and regulations. Prior positions include NERC System Operator, responsible for dispatching generation and coordinating scheduled interchange with other entities, and Master Instrumentation Tech, where responsibilities included programming PLCs and calibrating instrumentation for water plants. John Kerr also contributed to the education field as an instructor at Florida Electrical Apprenticeship and Training, teaching electrical theory to apprentices.
