Karlene Santiago

Karlene Santiago is an experienced professional in community engagement and relations, currently serving as a Senior Community Engagement Coordinator at Orlando Utilities Commission since July 2006. In this role, Karlene promotes employee involvement in community initiatives, develops reports on volunteer activities, and identifies opportunities for community relations within the service territory. Previously, Karlene held the position of Community Relations Coordinator at OUC, ensuring similar responsibilities, and began a career in Human Resources at OUC. Additional experience includes serving as an Emerging Leader at Heart of Florida United Way, Director of Development at ModelScout Inc., and Peer Educator at Valencia Community College. Karlene holds a BA in Interpersonal/Organizational Communication from the University of Central Florida and an AA in General Studies from Valencia College.
