Global Engineering - Renewables & Storage at Ormazabal

Miriam Zubizarreta Ostivar is an accomplished electrical engineer with extensive experience in renewable energy and energy storage. Currently working at Ormazabal Electric since October 2019 in Global Engineering for Renewables & Storage, Miriam previously held an international volunteering position as an Electrical Engineer with Engineers Without Borders UK in rural Borneo, Malaysia, focusing on off-grid micro-hydro and photovoltaic solutions. Prior to this, Miriam served as an Electrical Project Engineer at Highview Power, contributing to the design and commissioning of large-scale Liquid Air Energy Storage pilot plants, and worked as a Researcher in Energy Storage at TECNALIA Research & Innovation, where a rechargeable Metal-Air battery prototype was developed. Additional early career experience includes a role as a Graduate Engineer at Metalocaucho and an end-of-degree project at TECNALIA, which assessed Vanadium Redox Flow Batteries. Miriam holds a degree in Industrial Engineering with a specialization in Electricity and Electronics from Tecnun - Universidad de Navarra.
