Procoro Herrera has extensive experience in quality engineering and regulatory affairs. Starting in 1995 at STAAR Surgical as an Associate Engineer, they wrote validation protocols and reports, supervised inspection and investigations, and provided guidance on statistical tools. Procoro then joined Sybron Dental Specialties in 1998, where they held various roles including Quality Engineer, Senior Quality Engineer, Quality Engineering Project Manager, and Manager of Quality Engineering. During this time, they managed process and software validations, wrote protocols and reports, and served as a subject matter expert in statistical analysis and validations. In 2012, Procoro joined Ormco as the Director of Quality Engineering and Quality Assurance, leading functions such as design control, CAPA, and quality control. Procoro later became the Director of Design Assurance and Regulatory Affairs, providing leadership in regulatory affairs, clinical evaluation, and post-market surveillance.

Procoro Herrera, CQE, CRE, SSBB, RAC, has a strong educational background in quality assurance and industrial engineering. Procoro obtained a Master of Science degree in Quality Assurance from California State University-Dominguez Hills, where they studied from 2001 to 2004. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering at California State Polytechnic University-Pomona from 1989 to 1995.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Procoro Herrera has obtained several certifications to further enhance their expertise. Procoro obtained the Regulatory Affairs Certified (RAC US) certification from RAPS in December 2017 and the ISO 13485:2016 Lead Auditor (TPECS) certification from BSI in October 2017. Procoro also holds the Regulatory Affairs Certificate: Medical Devices and Pharmaceuticals (Dual) from RAPS, which they obtained in March 2017.

Procoro Herrera is also a Certified Reliability Engineer, having obtained this certification from ASQ - World Headquarters in March 2014. Furthermore, they have a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt certification since October 2002 and a Certified Quality Engineer certification since December 1999, both from ASQ - World Headquarters.
