Fred Schaefer

Fred Schaefer is an experienced Critical Care Flight Paramedic currently serving with Ornge since April 2011. Prior to this, Schaefer held various leadership roles at Toronto Paramedic Services from May 1999 to April 2022, including Commander and Superintendent, focusing on facilities projects and special projects. Additional experience includes operations supervision with the County of Simcoe and intensive care nursing at St. Michael's Hospital. Schaefer's education includes a Post Diploma Critical Care Certificate from George Brown College and a Post Diploma Coronary Care Certificate from Humber College, among other training in emergency preparedness and critical care.
