Yen Chow

Regional Medical Director Stepping Down Jan 2016 And Transport Medicine Physician at ORNGE Inc.

Yen Chow has extensive work experience in the medical field. They began their career in 1993 as a Family Practice Resident at Family Medicine Northwest Ontario. From there, they worked as a Physician at YCMPC and then as a Family Physician at Sensenbrenner Hospital. In 1997, Yen joined Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre as an Attending Staff Emergency Physician and later became a Critical Care Physician. In 1998, they became the Regional Medical Director at Ornge, a position they held until January 2016. Yen also served as a Transport Medicine Physician and was previously the Air Ambulance Medical Director for the Ontario Provincial Air Ambulance Subcommittee.

Yen Chow pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Physiology, with a specialization in Physiology, General, from 1985 to 1993 at The University of British Columbia. During this period, Yen also completed a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree, in conjunction with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Physiology, from 1989 to 1993, at the same institution, The University of British Columbia.
