Ignacio Salazar

Ignacio Salazar is the current CEO and Director at Orosur Mining. Ignacio has also served as the President of the Chamber of Mines of Uruguay and as the New Business Development Director – E&P Argentina for Shell Argentina. Their career in the mining industry began as a Finance Consultant – Global scope for Shell Centre.

Salazar has been instrumental in improving performance in the Shell Shared Services Centres (6 in the world) and across Global Shell Finance Operations. Ignacio has also overseen a period of unprecedented growth and discussion on the mining industry during their tenure as President of Chamber of Mines of Uruguay. Under their leadership, Orosur Mining Inc has become a quoted company in London (AIM) and Toronto (TSX). The company now employs 500 people and has an annual revenue of $100 million.

Ignacio Salazar has a Master's degree in Law from the University of Deusto, and a Master's degree in Economics and Business Administration from the same school.
