Mario Williams

Mario Williams is an accomplished musician with extensive experience in various roles within the music industry. Currently serving as a Musician for Orpheum Theatre Group and a Violinist at St Patrick’s Presbyterian since early 2022, Mario is also the Founder and Viola-Violinist of Ensemble X Memphis, a professional chamber ensemble established in June 2021. Additional experience includes performing as a sub with the Memphis Symphony Orchestra since 2015, holding the position of Music Coordinator at Brown Baptist Church from 2018 to 2024, and teaching music at Memphis Business Academy from 2017 to 2022. Freelance work has been ongoing since 1999, supplemented by previous roles at TOD from 2002 to 2020 and at Mississippi State University from 2011 to 2019, where Mario served as Assistant Concertmaster for the Starkville Symphony Orchestra. Mario holds a Bachelor of Arts in Viola, Violin, Pedagogy, and Chamber Music from The University of Memphis.
