Peter Burger has a diverse work experience. Peter started their career at the Max Planck Institute for International Patent, Trademark and Competition Law, where they served as a Research Fellow from October 1986 to September 1987. Following this, they joined Orr & Reno in February 1988, where they held various roles including Attorney and Shareholder, Director and President, and Shareholder and Director.

Peter Burger attended Clark University from 1978 to 1982, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Economics and a minor in German. Following this, they attended the University of St.Gallen for a year, from 1982 to 1983, as a visiting scholar in the field of Economics. Lastly, they pursued a Law degree at American University Washington College of Law from 1983 to 1986.
