Mikayla Wood currently serves as an Energy Storage Engineer at Ørsted, starting in May 2024. Prior experience includes roles as a Teaching Assistant and Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Texas at Austin from August 2021 to December 2023, where responsibilities included supervising lab experiments, grading, and research focused on synthesizing earth-abundant catalysts for electrochemical applications. Mikayla also worked as a Teaching Assistant for the Chemical Engineering Materials course and collaborated as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Montana State University-Bozeman, contributing to the development of microfluidic devices. Additionally, participation in the NSF REU Program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison provided valuable research experience. Mikayla holds a Master’s of Science in Chemical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering with a Minor in Spanish from Montana State University-Bozeman, supplemented by a study abroad experience at Universidad de Palermo in 2018.
