Brian Olivo has been working in the engineering field since 2009. Brian started their career as a Lifeguard II Manager at the California Department of Parks and Recreation. In 2015, they moved to Composite Manufacturing Inc. as a Mechanical Design Engineer where they designed and developed medical devices, including orthopedic patient support systems, traction devices, and skin/tissue retractor devices. Brian also co-designed the "Pivot Guardian Hip Distraction System". In 2020, they joined Ingenarious Consultants LLC as a Design and Development Engineer. Currently, they are a Senior Product Development Engineer at OrthAlign, Inc. where they lead the design and development of new orthopedic surgery navigation systems and translates user needs into design requirements and concepts.
Brian Olivo obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Riverside. Brian also has a certification as an Engineer in Training from the California Board of Professional Engineers, which they obtained in February 2015. Additionally, they have advanced training in GD&T from the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
