Francis Vijay

Francis Vijay has worked in a variety of roles in the engineering field since 1988. Francis began their career as an Instructor in the Department of Engineering Technology at Texas A&M University in 1988. Francis then moved to IMC Plastics (Industrial Molding Corp) in 1989 as a Process Engineer, where they managed the Process Engineering department and was responsible for machine efficiency and product quality. From 1993 to 2000, they worked as a Senior Project Engineer at Edwards Lifesciences (formerly Baxter International - Cardio Vascular Group). Francis then moved to SenoRx (acquired by C.R. BARD) in 2000, where they continued in the role of Senior Project Engineer. In 2003, they joined Smith & Nephew (formerly ArthroCare and Opus Medical through acquisitions) as a Senior Manager in R&D. In 2015, they began working at KaVo Kerr Group as a Senior Program Manager in R&D. In 2016, they joined Allergan as an Associate Director in R&D - Devices. In 2019, they became a Technical Advisor at California Cardiac Solutions. Most recently, in 2021, they began working as a Technical Advisor at CHIP'd Sports and as a Director of Engineering at OrthAlign, Inc.

Francis Vijay obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Calicut between 1979 and 1984. Francis then completed a Master of Science (M.S.) in Industrial Engineering from Texas A&M University between 1987 and 1989. Additionally, they hold a PMP certification from the Project Management Institute.
