Chip Hurlburt has a diverse work experience, including executive positions in various educational organizations. Chip is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Orthodontic Partners since July 2019. Prior to this, they were a Board Member at Futures in Education (Futures Academy) from 2017. As a President, CEO, and Board Member at National Heritage Academies, Chip led the organization in operating over 80 K-8 charter schools across nine states from 2013 to 2016. Chip also held leadership roles at Kaplan, where they served as the President of Graduate Programs from 2008 to 2013 and as the President/COO from 2004 to 2008. Chip's earlier experience includes positions at Kaplan Test Prep and Admissions, where they served as the SVP & General Manager, VP of National Marketing & Operations, and Executive Director of National Marketing. Chip started their career as the Director of Marketing & Communications at CGFNS International, where they were responsible for marketing and government affairs activities for a nursing licensure organization.

Chip Hurlburt completed their Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Drexel University in 1990. Chip then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Drexel University's LeBow College of Business in 1991.
