Keith Wheeler

Keith Wheeler has a diverse work experience, starting with their current role as the Director of Information Technology at OrthoIndy since October 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Clinical Applications Manager at OrthoIndy from October 2017 until October 2022.

Before joining OrthoIndy, Keith worked at Eskenazi Health for several years, holding various positions. Keith served as the Director of Clinical Information Systems from October 2014 to September 2017, where they were responsible for implementing and integrating information systems to support internal customers and patient care. Keith also prepared the departmental budget and participated in software selection. Before that, they were the Manager of Clinical Systems Support from July 2012 to October 2014, managing project management and systems support for clinical information systems. Keith also played a role in budget preparation and software evaluation. Prior to that, Keith held the position of Project Manager of Clinical Systems Support from July 2006 to July 2012, overseeing all phases of large-scale clinical information system projects and assisting clinical departments with operational procedures and training.

Keith's earlier experience includes working at Lockheed Martin as a Sr. User Applications Analyst from June 2001 to July 2006. In this role, they were the lead developer for applications used in scheduling USAF combat aircraft. Keith designed applications, coded solutions, and provided mentorship.

Keith's career began in the U.S. Air Force as a Systems Analyst/Programmer from 1990 to 2001. During their time in the Air Force, they developed the Software Configuration Management (SCM) Process and was involved in web-based solution development, database management, and system administration.

Overall, Keith Wheeler has extensive experience in information technology, project management, systems support, and application development across various industries, including healthcare, defense, and the Air Force.

Keith Wheeler attended Christopher Newport University from 2002 to 2005, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Science.
