Richard Detlefsen

Richard Detlefsen is a Senior Development Engineer and Principal Design Engineer at OrthoPediatrics since July 2017. In addition to their role at OrthoPediatrics, Richard serves as a Limited Term Lecturer at Purdue Polytechnic Institute, teaching Production Design and Specifications, focusing on design, evaluation, and documentation for manufacturability and assembly. Prior experience includes serving as a Principal Designer at Zimmer Biomet from June 2015 to June 2017 and as a Senior Designer at Biomet from July 1999 to June 2015. Richard holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering from the Indiana Institute of Technology, which was completed between 2013 and 2015.
