Shelden Martin

SVP of Operations at OrthoArizona

Dr. Shelden Martin became OrthoArizona’s Senior Vice President of Operations in January 2022.

Dr. Martin is a fellowship-trained, board-certified orthopedic surgeon with a subspecialty in sports medicine. He has expertise in shoulder, elbow and knee surgery, including shoulder replacement, reverse shoulder replacement, rotator cuff surgery, ACL reconstruction and all cartilage restoration procedures. His philosophy of care emphasizes a thorough understanding of his patients’ injuries, respect for their time, collaborative decision-making and delivery of customized treatment plans in order to return patients to their active lifestyles. Dr. Martin received his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine and he later completed his orthopedic surgery residency with Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. He also received fellowship training from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and the OrthoCarolina Sports Medicine & Shoulder & Elbow Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. Dr. Martin serves as Head Team Physician for the Arizona Rattlers, as well as Associate Team Physician for the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Chicago White Sox. He also serves as a team physician for the Arizona Coyotes as well as Team Orthopedic Surgeon for Desert Vista High School in Ahwatukee, Arizona.
