Shelly Polnick Leicester, PT, DPT has over 20 years of experience in the physical therapy field. Shelly began their career in 2000 as a Physical Therapist at Associated Physical Therapy. Shelly then moved on to become the Director at Matrix Orthopedic and Sports Therapy in 2003, followed by the Director role at Orthopedic Physical Therapy of Garland in 2004. In 2007, Shelly became the Director of Greater Therapy Center McKinney and in 2011 they were appointed as the Assistant Director of Rehabilitation and Physical Therapist at OrthoTexas Physicians & Surgeons, PLLC.
Shelly Polnick Leicester, PT, DPT has a comprehensive educational background. Shelly obtained a Bachelor of Science in Psychology/Biology from Lamar University between 1993 and 1996. Shelly then went on to earn a Master of Physical Therapy from UT Southwestern Medical Center between 1998 and 2000. Finally, they completed a Doctor of Physical Therapy from Mass. Gen. Institute of Health Professions in 2006. Additionally, they hold certifications in Foundations in Dry Needling for Orthopedic Rehab and Sport Performance and Selective Functional Movement Assessment.
