David Collins, MD, is an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician currently practicing at Ortonville Area Health Services and serving as the Director of the Emergency Medicine Ultrasound Division at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine & Health Sciences. David's role focuses on expanding point of care ultrasound education, including integrating POCUS into the medical curriculum and training for physician assistants and residents. David holds various EMS Director positions across multiple ambulance services and has previously contributed to medical education as a Clinical Instructor and Medical Student Educator. David completed an Emergency Medicine Residency at the University of Missouri-Columbia and has a Doctor of Medicine from the University of North Dakota. Academic qualifications also include a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with an emphasis on Neuroscience from Bethel University and ongoing involvement in the Ultrasound Leadership Academy.
