Modeste Breukers

Modeste Breukers has a diverse and extensive career in music, spanning over four decades. Since 1980, Modeste has worked as an arranger and composer, notably creating educational adaptations of works such as Mozart's "Die Zauberflöte" and composing musicals for Sinterklaas and Christmas in collaboration with Aga de Wit. Modeste has played multiple musical roles, including bassist for various bands, drummer in the award-winning band Union Strobe, and keyboardist in Astral Plane. In addition to performance, Modeste has contributed as a music educator at the Open Schoolgemeenschap Bijlmer and has been involved in various projects with prestigious organizations like Bimhuis and Concertgebouworkest. Modeste’s production experience includes work at AVROTROS and participation in significant cultural projects while holding degrees in music education from Amsterdamse Hogeschool voor de Kunsten and Hilversums Conservatorium.
