Daniel Breuer

Daniel advises investors and lenders, asset managers, service providers, utilities and (corporate) offtakers mainly on commercial, regulatory and transactional matters in the field of renewable energy projects and on all aspects of energy trading and the digital transformation of the energy industry.

He focusses on renewable energy projects, direct marketing and PPA offtake, energy trading compliance, system services (e.g. control reserve markets, VPP) and energy regulatory matters. Daniel is regularly involved in renewable energy transactions and financings in Germany and other European markets, energy related disputes (litigation, arbitration, regulatory proceedings, incl. Clearingstelle EEG/KWKG) and all aspects of asset management for renewable energy projects. He is a member of the legal advisory board and several working groups to the German Federal Wind Energy Association (BWE).

Daniel studied in Cologne and Pittsburgh (Duquesne). He worked as a research associate at the Institute for Energy Law at the University of Cologne between 2007 and 2010. Daniel is regularly active as speaker and author in the field of renewable energies law.

He joined Osborne Clarke as attorney in 2013.
