Steve Wilson

Steve is a Partner and head of Osborne Clarke’s US offices in New York, Silicon Valley and San Francisco.

As an English-qualified lawyer resident in the US for over a decade, Steve has extensive experience of advising American-headquartered clients. He counsels US companies on all aspects of their international legal needs both advising North American clients on English legal matters and supporting their global legal projects. Steve works closely with Osborne Clarke’s international offices and network of law firms around the world. He has a wealth of experience supporting clients as an outsourced general counsel assisting with all aspects of cross-border projects.

Steve leads the US International Expansion and Growth team and his recent work includes representing numerous US headquartered businesses establish and grow overseas operations. In addition, he advises clients on cross-border acquisitions, represents US investors on European investments and manages multi-jurisdictional projects across Europe, Asia, Australia and South America. He has experience advising clients across a number of sectors.

He has been a Partner since 2004 and is currently based in the firm’s New York office, having managed the firm’s West Coast operations from 2007 to 2016. He is a registered Foreign Legal Consultant in both New York and California. He is also co-chair of the Private Equity and Venture Capital Committee of the Business Law Section of the American Bar Association and a Board Member of the St George’s Society of New York.
