Christin is a registered nurse with 20 years’ experience in geriatric nursing. What distinguishes her from others in her field is that she uses her infectious laugh and special communication ability to brighten the lives of seniors suffering from Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease. Chris realized her calling when she was a small child visiting the nursing home with her father, who was the administrator. She fell in love with the seniors and decided this was to be her life work. Chris is passionate about her job as a Director of an Adult Day Care Center and how she caters her approach to each individual patient and caregiver. In 1997 she was accepted into Florida Hospital’s Critical Care Nurse Internship Program and quickly moved up the ranks and became Charge Nurse on a 55-bed PCU telemetry floor. Her passion for ensuring all patients have access to medical care helped to grow the Osceola Council on Aging Free Medical Clinic to provide Primary, Secondary, and wrap-around services to over 2000 Osceola County residents. She is the nurse consultant for the Public Guardianship Program. Chris was published in 2002 with the Florida Department of Elder Affairs Best Practice.
