Osceola Science Charter School (K-8)
Osceola Science Charter School (OSCS) is a tuition-free, STEM-focused public charter school that has been serving Osceola County in Central Florida since 2016. OSCS is excited to announce their move to a brand-new facility for the 2019-2020 school year in order to expand their offerings to grades K-8 by 2021-2022 school year. As part of the Orlando Science School system, OSCS offers a well-rounded curriculum aligned with Florida Standards and Next Generation Florida State Standards taught in an intimate learning environment with emphasis on science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). Additionally, they believe in giving back through community service and frequent volunteering, as well as by hosting fundraisers and organizing collections for local charities. Beyond academic excellence in the classroom, the school offers many social and recreational opportunities that create a close-knit student body. Students participate and compete on local and national levels in a variety of extra-curricular activities ranging from Science Olympiad and robotics teams to drama and orchestra. All efforts are focused toward meeting the Vision of the school which is to empower all students with a STEM education which will help guide them to a promising and successful career.
