Olga Streltchenko has extensive work experience in risk management and financial modeling. Olga is currently the Director of Scenario Analysis at the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions Canada. Prior to this role, they worked as a Senior Manager at Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation, leading the Capital Markets and Treasury Modelling team. Olga also served as the Director of Model Risk Management at Export Development Canada and played a key role in establishing the model risk management function within the organization. Olga has also held positions at S&P Capital IQ, Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan, RBC Capital Markets, Bank of Montreal, Algorithmics Inc, and the University of Maryland Baltimore County. Throughout their career, Olga has demonstrated expertise in team leadership, model validation, risk analytics, and financial engineering.
Olga Streltchenko holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Maryland Baltimore County, which they obtained from 1997 to 2003. Prior to that, they earned a Master's degree in Mathematics from Syracuse University from 1995 to 1997. Olga also holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, which they obtained from 1987 to 1992. In addition to their formal education, Olga has obtained several certifications, including courses in Cryptocurrency and Blockchain, FinTech, Hadoop Platform and Application Framework, Introduction to Big Data Analytics, and Introduction to Big Data from various institutions such as Coursera.
