Kurt Fenske

Kurt Fenske has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Kurt currently works at Oshkosh Corporation as the Lead Program Manager of Systems Engineering. Prior to this role, they were a Project Manager in Systems Engineering at the same company. Before joining Oshkosh Corporation, Kurt worked as a Senior Program Manager at MGS Mfg. Group and Leonardo DRS. Kurt also had roles as a Senior Sustaining Embedded Engineer at Generac Power Systems and in various positions at Rex Systems Incorporated, including Director of Technology Development and R&D Program Manager. Kurt's early career included positions at Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) as an Engineering Director and R&D Engineering Manager, at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee as a Senior Lecturer and Adjunct Professor, at Adicon Consulting as an Electrical Design Engineer, and at Strattec Security Corporation as an Electrical Design Engineer/Product Development Engineer, where they played a key role in designing and developing a first-generation vehicle remote passive RFID entry and security system.

Kurt Fenske's education history includes pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy Program - PhD in Electrical Engineering, with a specialization in Electromagnetics, at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee from 1998 to 2001. However, they did not complete the degree. Prior to that, from 1994 to 1996, they were enrolled in the Master's Program in Electrical Engineering at the same university but did not finish the thesis. Kurt obtained their Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee from 1991 to 1993. Before focusing on Electrical Engineering, Kurt Fenske earned a Bachelor's degree in Astrophysics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 1986 to 1990. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained certifications such as "Microsoft Project Quick Tips" and "Project Management Foundations: Requirements" from LinkedIn in 2020.
